We brought her meals for several months and I learned to a small degree what a life altering challenge severe food allergies can be.Larahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09051780765300427426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1313143544219095171.post-38113389663740972362010-05-26T20:46:20.469-05:002010-05-26T20:46:20.469-05:00wow--this is amazing! I once knew a boy who was allergic to nuts as well, and even if you had nuts on your breath and you were near him he would have a reaction.

You're right--it is serious stuff! I can't wait to learn/read more about this in the next upcoming weeks. The Atwoodshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01244466776266139607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1313143544219095171.post-25839240763027436572010-05-26T19:51:40.060-05:002010-05-26T19:51:40.060-05:00As someone with multiple food allergies I really a...As someone with multiple food allergies I really appreciate the posts from both you and Lynn.
As a paranoid person, I think you should include in the sentence (where you state that the only way to reverse a severe reaction is to inject your epipen) that it must be followed up by a trip to the hospital to make sure the reaction is reversed and over. I don't want people unfamiliar to allergies to think that those with anaphylactic reactions can just take a shot and be fine- it is more involved than that.Liznoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1313143544219095171.post-29652709708896009412010-05-26T18:19:21.968-05:002010-05-26T18:19:21.968-05:00Sadly I think people already discount the seriousn...Sadly I think people already discount the seriousness. I've seen lots of rolled eyes and comments about the ridiculousness of things like NO NUTS in stuff you bring for your kid's class. I do not have a kid with allergies, but I if I did I would hope people would respect the rules and not intentionally try to kill my kid at school over a favorite snack!Heather Benzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01467755518238501433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1313143544219095171.post-8992290605991183392010-05-26T15:14:49.312-05:002010-05-26T15:14:49.312-05:00a perfect post... look forward to the seriesa perfect post... look forward to the seriesInspired by eRecipeCardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09104173871760979364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1313143544219095171.post-36544526455245660242010-05-26T14:52:36.680-05:002010-05-26T14:52:36.680-05:00Thanks for sharing this.
