Baked Apples

We tried these baked apples... excellent. Perfect warm right out of the oven. Perfect for dessert. Perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Save the leftovers, and they're great warmed up; they make an excellent addition to oatmeal.

Baked Apples - Modified from Tammy's Recipes

apples (as many as you want; we typically do 3 large apples for 2 people)
water (enough to cover about 1 inch in the bottom of a glass baking dish)
cinnamon, to taste
lemon juice (optional)
2-4 T sugar

Peel the apples. I use 3 Golden Delicious apples... they are excellent.
Slice the apples into quarters (or eights). Layer apples in a glass baking dish (they not to have them overlap). 3 medium/large apples usually fit in a 9x9 glass pan. Otherwise, go up to a 9x13.
Add water to the baking dish. Use enough to have about 1/2 - 1 inch of water in the bottom of the baking dish. Then, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Bake at 325 for 25-35 minutes, or until soft when stuck with a fork.
Enjoy!
