We tried these
baked apples... excellent. Perfect warm right out of the oven. Perfect for dessert. Perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Save the leftovers, and they're great warmed up; they make an excellent addition to oatmeal.
Baked Apples - Modified from Tammy's Recipes
apples (as many as you want; we typically do 3 large apples for 2 people)
water (enough to cover about 1 inch in the bottom of a glass baking dish)
cinnamon, to taste
lemon juice (optional)
2-4 T sugar
Peel the apples. I use 3 Golden Delicious apples... they are excellent.
Slice the apples into quarters (or eights). Layer apples in a glass baking dish (they not to have them overlap). 3 medium/large apples usually fit in a 9x9 glass pan. Otherwise, go up to a 9x13.
Add water to the baking dish. Use enough to have about 1/2 - 1 inch of water in the bottom of the baking dish. Then, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Bake at 325 for 25-35 minutes, or until soft when stuck with a fork.
Enjoy!
