Grandma's Sugar Cookies

Grandma makes these 1 time each year... at Christmas. They are delicious... basically melt in your mouth goodness.

Grandma's Plain Sugar Cookies - Grandma VS

1 C sugar
1 C shortening
2 T butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tarter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 C flour

Cream sugar, shortening, butter, egg and flavorings. Mix together dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture. Form small balls on a cookie sheet and flatten with a fork and sugar.

Bake for 10 minutes at 350.
