I know... where's a new recipe, that's what you're thinking.... but, they're coming - and they are worth the wait. Trust me. I mean one's a staple state fair food.... and the other, well, lets just say, summer birthdays will get a whole new meaning ;-)
So, to tide you over, I wanted to share that my friends and I got to see Julie and Julia this week!!! You know -- the cooking movie based on the Julie/Julia Project ... !
And, we LOVED it. My friend visiting from France wanted to see it with me because she knows blogging about food is my guilty pleasure. And, it was a blessing to see this movie with her and my other wonderful friend.
Meryl Streep and Amy Adams did a phenomenal job -- and the cinematography was fantastic, and the food -- well, it was pretty spectacular, and funny at times too. I loved it when Julie when reflects on her adventure and talks about how cooking has brought her much joy -- because the same is true in my kitchen.
And, I will no longer complain about my tiny kitchen... Julie's was MUCH smaller :) But Julia's, well, hers was amazing. I'll leave it at that - go see it. You'll enjoy it very much. Let me know your thoughts when you do :)
Oh I cannot wait to see this movie. Someday, my friend, someday, they will be making movies about us.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing this movie! Thanks for the recommendation!
ReplyDeleteMy 16 yo daughter, who aspires to be a pastry chef & I went and saw it opening day - we also loved it! Great blog btw, usually I am just a lurker but thought i'd say hi for a change!
ReplyDeleteSo neat! I am planning on seeing this movie this weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I saw it earlier this week and loved it. I felt like I could really relate well with both of the characters--both of them with their love of eating/cooking good food and with Julie for her love of blogging.
ReplyDeleteI want to see this too. Someday.
ReplyDeleteI totally want to see this! Glad to hear how much you enjoyed it.
