Mom's FAMOUS Travel Bars

My mom started making these bars when we traveled to swim meets because they travel well, are filling, pack nicely, and are awesome when they've been in a warm car (be careful not to get them too warm that they totally melt!).

They also go together in a pinch ... which helps ease the pre-travel stress ;)

Mom's FAMOUS Travel Bars - Mom

3 C crushed graham crackers (you can make your own if you wish)
1 C coconut
1 can sweetened condensed milk (or you can make your own)
1 C chocolate chips

Mix all the ingredients together and pour/spread into a greased 9x13 pan.

Bake at 350 for 20 minutes until lightly browned.

Makes 24 2-inch bars.

Note: They will NOT last long.

  1. Man I love these bars! Sometimes I chop up pecans or walnuts and add those in too.
