Roasted Asparagus

Spring is a delicious time to enjoy asparagus! We love it in so many different dishes, but as a simple side dish, this is our favorite.

Roasted Asparagus

1 lb asparagus, washed and trimmed
1-2 tsp. olive oil
1/8 tsp. each: basil, garlic
sea salt and pepper, to taste
lemon, if desired

Preheat oven to 500. Place asparagus on tinfoil and drizzle olive oil over asparagus.

Roll asparagus in the oil to coat. Sprinkle with sea salt, pepper, basil and garlic.

Cook asparagus for 5-7 minutes, then flip, and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes or so until tender.

If desired, take 1-2 slices of lemon and squeeze the juice over the asparagus.

I LOVE all the seasonings on the head of the asparagus -- so tasty!
