Roasted Asparagus

Spring is a delicious time to enjoy asparagus! We love it in so many different dishes, but as a simple side dish, this is our favorite.

Roasted Asparagus

1 lb asparagus, washed and trimmed
1-2 tsp. olive oil
1/8 tsp. each: basil, garlic
sea salt and pepper, to taste
lemon, if desired

Preheat oven to 500. Place asparagus on tinfoil and drizzle olive oil over asparagus.

Roll asparagus in the oil to coat. Sprinkle with sea salt, pepper, basil and garlic.

Cook asparagus for 5-7 minutes, then flip, and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes or so until tender.

If desired, take 1-2 slices of lemon and squeeze the juice over the asparagus.

I LOVE all the seasonings on the head of the asparagus -- so tasty!

  1. Thanks for linking to this from the other recipe. I'll have to try making this tonight my husband loves asparagus, and this is another way to try it.

  2. Love the simplicity and YUMMINESS of this asparagus recipe.

  3. I found this recipe last year, it is my favorite way to eat asparagus now! We do it on the grill in a foil packet, so yummy!

Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to hear from you; especially how you're finding JOY in your kitchen.
