Friday Favorite Finds #98

Friday, March 2, 2012.  Really?!?!  When did that happen?  Since our first “major snowstorm” of the entire winter happened this week, and by major I mean we got mostly rain with about 4 inches of snow – heavy, wet snow – I’m finding it hard to believe that we are heading full force into spring.

Nonetheless, March brings forth likely the last good soup weather, March madness and, of course, spring break!  These eats will surely help on all accounts:  {Note: all photos are from the author of the recipes, linked from Pinterest}

Chicken & Barley Soup
{I LOVE barley, and I hope to make at least one more soup using it this winter}

March Madness Michigan State Green & White Cake
{I’m sure the original intent was for St. Patrick’s Day…}

Lemon Cornmeal Pancakes with Strawberry Sauce
{A unique pancake – buttermilk, lemon, cornmeal & topped with strawberries!}

DIY Coconut Butter
{Sounds like something to try… wonder about a price comparison}

Honey Cloud Pancakes
{Spring is on it’s way… and this looks like a fun spring breakfast treat!}

  1. I pinned the coconut butter too. I am intrigued since my son has a dairy allergy. Let me know if you try it. Thanks for hosting.

  2. I seem to be all about soup this week so nice to see the soup recipe. Barley in soup is a favorite of mine, too. The coconut butter sounds interesting. Glad to be back. Have a great week.

  3. I love barley too but for some reason usually put it in either beef or lamb soup.
