Archives: Meatball Soup

Since it's January, and COLD (Friday, it was -18 below when I woke up to pick Frog Prince up at the airport!), this week's peak into the archives is a comforting bowl of soup.

I'm not sure what it is about this soup, but it's amazing.

A little celery, broth, tomatoes, carrots, onions and peas.
Some meat.
And, tortellini.
Simple ingredients, really.
But, the flavor is wonderful.

We've had it with meatballs, with wild rice meatballs and with Italian sausage (that pretends to be a meat ball), and any way you ladle it up, it's an amazing soup.  And, the recipe makes a huge batch - which is great for leftovers.

Hope you'll stop and take a peak at St. Margaret's Charity Meatball Tortellini Soup.
