Herby Biscuits

We recently made a potpie, to which we wanted to add our own herby biscuits!

Herby Biscuits - SnoWhite

1 C white wheat flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. parsley
dash of rosemary
1 1/2 C milk

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients, minus the milk.

Add milk, and stir until a sticky dough is formed. You may need to add more/less milk than what's listed above depending on your flour.

Place the biscuits by the tablespoon full over the top of the pot pie.

Bake at 350 for 25ish minutes until lightly browned.

They were yummy on top of the pot pie!!

These biscuits will not likely stand up on their own, but they were nice on top of the pot pie.  They might also work in a soup, but I haven't given that a try just yet.

  1. Yum! Those look great. I have been thinking about pot pie lately. Perhaps it needs to go on the menu next week.

  2. The topping is much like dumplings, but yours have all those lovely bits worked into then. This sounds very tasty.

  4. Great idea. I wasn't that happy about using the name brand crescent rolls the first time we made this recipe. I will have to try it this way. It feels better to know all of the ingredients. :)

  6. hi! i wanted to mention something that might be sort of an issue with people other than just myself. i want to copy some of your recipes to make and i'm finding that some of your posts have the recipe directions intermixed with photos so i'm having to cut and paste a sentence at a time. kind of tedious. some of your recipes you do put the entire recipe and directions in one solid block, that's definately the most helpful for copying the recipe. not sure if you realized, just wanted to let you know! :)
now, i'm off to make the crackers!!!
