Menu Plan - Nov. 8

A 60-degree weekend... it was lovely. We spent lots of time outside, hiking, laughing, crunching leaves beneath our feet and breathing in the fall weather. This was the first nice weekend since... September! And, we enjoyed it.

We even took a trip to the farmer's market, where we ordered ourselves a Thanksgiving turkey! Yes, that's right... I'm cooking a turkey this year. It will be the first time that Frog Prince and I are celebrating Thanksgiving just the two of us... and I'm looking forward to cooking.

Last week, we should have fired up the BBQ... oh, wait, we'd have to have one first :) Instead, we enjoyed:

(my hubby's new favorite)

(which was devoured at Life Group)

(a healthy twist on a familiar favorite)

Creamy Tortellini Bake
(recipe on Monday)

Red Pepper Quiche
(recipe on Tuesday)

This week, we're traveling to visit my family and we're celebrating an early Thanksgiving and really early Christmas with them, as we won't be back to visit until.... we don't know when. Quiche looks fab and I simply cannot wait to hear more about this sweet potato pie, which I have never had or made.

  3. oo we're going to try that roasted veggie parm and the veggie soup. We just watched Food, Inc and are now on a mission to find more meatless meals we like. These 2 look super yummy!

  7. Hi Sara, some great recipes you have here! We'll have to try some of these. I'm really interested to know how your free-range turkey turns out and compares to a regular store-bought one. Please post an analysis after the big day!
    Take care,
