Here’s some of our favorite snacks & yummy appetizers – 13 of them, in honor of the 2013 Super Bowl.
Pudding Layers – Some might call this Robert Redford Dessert, but no matter what you call it you’ll love it. Layers of pudding and cream cheese, who could go wrong with that? Get the recipe here.
Pizza Dip – This dip is for all the pizza-topping lovers out there. Really. It tastes just like the toppings on your pizza. So delicious and serves well with chips or bread sticks. Get the recipe here.
Cheesy Biscuits- These remind me of Red Lobster’s biscuits, but much less greasy. Scoop them out with a small cookie scoop and you have Cheesy Biscuit Bites! These would dip well in the pizza dip (above). Click here for the recipe.
Texas Caviar – Yummy mix of beans and apple cider vinegar, onions & corn. A nice way to add protein to your night! Get the recipe here.
White Bean & Spinach Dip – A great alternative to some veggie dips! Creamy and delicious you get excellent eats in this dip. Get the recipe here.
Cheese & Pepperoni Stuffed Crescent Rolls – Love these! Easy as can be even if you make your own crescent rolls. Get the recipe here.
Kale Chips – Make these in 10 minutes time and have a crunchy and healthy side dish for the big game. I could eat an entire bunch of kale made into these chips! Get the recipe here.
Pizza Muffins – Talk about an easy appetizer! Mix up these muffins stuffed with cheese & pepperoni and serve along side your favorite pizza sauce. Get the recipe here.
The Best Black Bean Dip – Oh my! Love this stuff. Creamy black beans and Greek Yogurt seasoned with garlic, onion and cheese! Get the recipe here.
Baked Mozzarella Sticks – Who can resist these on game day? Get the recipe here.
Taco Dip – If you are looking for a semi main-course to serve, go with this taco dip. It’s filling and delicious. Avocado base, tomato & beef seasoned center, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives & cheese on the top. Get the recipe here.
Beer Battered Onion Rings – OK, these are not in the healthy category, but could be in two ways: (1) Look at the bright side, they are a vegetable, and (2) Make them when you have a crowd over – eat just a couple and the rest will disappear. Get the recipe here.
Honey Butter Popcorn – This popcorn makes a great Super Bowl snack. Sweet enough, but yet salty too. Uses whole grain corn, a touch of butter and honey… yum-o! Get the recipe here.
Hope these inspire you a bit for tomorrow’s big game! Or, sure-to-be-funny commercials.
