We had quite the week – some travels, time with family and friends, and lots of storms! The first day of summer greeted us with this:
We were out of power for about 8 hours, so that in turn meant cleaning out the fridge. It’s so hard to throw out food! But, if that’s all we lost in this round of storms, I am thankful. We had neighbors and friends who didn’t fare so well, and some still without power.
Trees on cars and houses, flooding and more damage were wide spread across the cities; we’re hoping we can salvage our tree thanks to our neighbors who helped us get it tied upright again.
Here’s hoping this week is a quieter one!

Wow! So sorry to hear you were in the thick of things weatherwise! But glad you are ok and I sure hope that tree can be saved it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou food looks great, especially those stuffed peppers. I made some recently also as my brother gave me a whole box of peppers, red and yellow ones. Today I made a baked oven fajita with chicken, peppers and onion. It's in the over and smells heavenly!
Thanks! I guess we'll know in a few weeks if it will survive. Until then, we hope things will dry out :)
DeleteWhat a blessing on those peppers -- the oven fajita sounds delicious. I love all things peppers.
What a storm! We were lucky and had no damage and our power didn't go out. As always, so impressed by your meal planning! Looks like a yummy week.
ReplyDeleteWe have had 8 inches of rain in 3 days:/ We were in Florida for the last week and came home to a flooded basement, ugh....
ReplyDeleteThose smokehouse maple fajitas are going on the menu as soon as I get home!!
