Menu Plan - Dec. 6

We're coming down home stretch... two more weeks until Christmas break! Frog Prince is getting ready to submit his dissertation for binding, and I'm hoping to submit the first two chapters of my dissertation to my advisor before the semester is said and done.

Despite the hectic nature of the end of the semester, cooking and eating healthy is still a priority for us... so you'll still find me in my kitchen.

Last week, we enjoyed:

As a reminder, any new recipes will be posted on this blog during the week. On the menu for this week:


Sunday
Breakfast: Gingerbread Waffles, Apple-y Sauce
Lunch: Leftover Pizza Bread, steamed carrots
Dinner: Roasted Butternut Squash and Garlic Lasagna, steamed green veggies, garlic bread
Dessert: Baked Apples

Monday
Breakfast: Apple Granola, dried cherries
Lunch: Brown Rice, Black Beans, Corn, tomatoes and cheese
Dinner: Turkey Pot-Pie, applesauce

Tuesday
Breakfast: Oatmeal with apples
Lunch: Tomato basil bread sandwiches, carrots, dried apples
Dinner: Potato Soup, Tomato basil bread

Wednesday
Breakfast: Apple Granola, dried cherries
Lunch: Leftovers, applesauce
Dinner: Leftover Potato Soup and bread


Thursday
Breakfast: Apple Granola, dried cherries
Lunch: Tomato basil bread sandwiches, carrots, dried apples
Dinner: Chicken Chili, corn

Friday
Breakfast: Blackberry Breakfast Bars (new)
Lunch: leftovers
Dinner: Chicken, Mushroom and Brown Rice Bake (new), broccoli

Saturday
Breakfast: Honey Whole Wheat Bagels
Lunch: Sandwiches while out for a hike!
Dinner: Calzone, broccoli and cauliflower

  1. Sounds like you guys are super busy. But your menu plan sounds wonderful! Those gingerbread waffles sound delicious, I am hoping santa brings me a waffle maker this Christmas!

  2. You have some great recipes!! I am going to have to try the German Pancake, Molasses Cookies, Gingerbread Waffles, Parmesan Italian Pork Chops and Tomato Basil Bread. I think I will make the Tomato Basil Bread tomorrow, I love Panera's!

  6. Hey! Funny that you noticed a recipe on my page! We can't wait to try it, all the way to the bread...and I love that you bake your own bread, because we do too, and its always nice to find new bread recipes along the way.
