I have to come clean.
Last week's menu plan was fictitious.
I lied.
But, for a very good reason.
See, my sister reads my blog.
And, we were trying to surprise her.
On Dec. 31st, she left to go to Uganda, and we came home to surprise her before she left!
So, I created a fake meal plan last week to "cover" for our trip to surprise her.
It was well worth it... we surprised her.
Hope you can forgive me for lying about what we planned to eat last week.
We ended up eating:
Carrot Bread
(new)
Cinnamon Raisin Bread
(and Cinnamon Raisin French Toast!)
(new)
New Year's Eve Taco Dip
(new)
I hope to get caught up soon and have new recipes posted in the next few days!

How funny and what a good sister you are to go through all that trouble. Your menu this week sounds great.
ReplyDeleteI think that is very cool that you went to all that trouble to surprise her...you can definitely tell you guys are sisters!
ReplyDeleteHow long will she be in Uganda? I will be posting soon on Sparky. She is going to Togo in February. By herself. As in without either parent or anyone from our church. She's 16.
We'll be coveting prayer.
That is adorable.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had some great eats either way. And delicious things in store for us!
I can't wait to see your doughnut recipe. For Christmas, my mom got a doughnut mold to use to bake them in and they were fantastic. Do you have a mold?
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing about this rice cooker mac & cheese. Maybe I'm going to have to give it a try ;) I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteJulia Child's Bouef Bourguignon?
ReplyDeleteYou are sneaky sneaky. I hope your visit with your family was wonderful.
Love it! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your cinnamon raisin bread and the french toast version as well. And the baked doughnuts. I love a good doughnut, especially the baked kind!
