10 Apple Recipes

To kick off Apple Week here at Finding Joy in My Kitchen, we’re sharing our favorite apple recipes.

Hands down, these are our favorite ways to enjoy apples in the fall!  Wondering what kinds of apples are best, check out this post describing apple varieties.  Hope these become favorites in your house too.

1. Spiced Country Applesauce
This recipe made me an applesauce snob. Simply amazing.

2. Apple Pockets
Like an hand pie, but better!  These little pockets are filled with flavor and healthy for you too.

3. Apple Cinnamon Spice Ice Cream
Like apple pie a la mode!  Cinnamon ice cream with crustless apple pie and sweet graham crackers.

4. Rustic Apple Bread
This bread is incredible – and really quite easy to make.  Leftovers are amazing as French Toast smothered in apple topping

5. Apple Cinnamon Rolls
These are a really fun way to start the weekend!  Made with whole wheat flour and lots of cinnamon.

6. Grandma’s Apple Pie with No-Fail Whole Wheat Crust
My 93-year-old Grandma can sill make a mean pie.  This is her recipe.

7. Apple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal
Amazingly easy breakfast.  Natural sugars. Whole Grains. Delicious Apples.  Make one pan, eat it all week!  Add cranberries for a fun twist.

8. Crockpot Maple Apple Pork
This dinner is delightful – like taking a bite of fall.  Everyone we’ve shared it with loves it too.

9. Apple Cake
Frog Prince grew up eating this dessert and it has quickly become one of our family traditions each fall.

10. Crockpot Apple Pumpkin Cake
This recipe combines my love of pumpkin with Frog Prince’s love of apples – and it’s a dessert made entirely in the crockpot!  You can’t go wrong here.

And, … don’t throw out the peels from all these apples!  Save them and make a delicious tea.  As a bonus, your house will smell incredible.
